Answer» Okay I have a 5BW120 2H07DTY9616F it runs windows 98. I have no disk to this machine and got it second hand. I got the driver off the site and tried INSTALLING with an error. Found that I needed direct x 6 installed but I get It TRIES and looks for a file called ksuser.dll but its looking at the c drive and says its looking at the cd an cant find it. Not sure if its on the disk. that's from the windows 98 CD.so it is on there then okay. But it looks at LIKE C:/windows/cabsYes, because in some installs, those CAB files are put on the hard drive, so Windows doesn't always require the disc to resolve issues. They're called cabinet files, because they contain compressed information. Ah but why is it asking for the disk then? Pointless about half then.it's asking for it because as far as it's concerned the files are on the disc. the fact that the path was changed to a folder on the HD, and it subsequently didn't find the proper files is why it's asking for the CD.
you DO have a windows CD, right? change the path from C:\windows\precopy or whatever it is to your CD-ROM drive.
there, another trip to google averted.right, but were in the cd do I find the directory?\Win98
now you've averted a trip to windows explorer!
you're on a roll! I'm in middle of CLASS so sorry about ahh.
OK. not at the machine then? nope thought that youd figure that. Dont have a connection any way there.
