Answer» i have a compaq modem and i can't seem to get connected to the internet ssomeone told me to reload the DRIVERS my operating system is windows 98se and i don't have the windows disk or any other floppy disc or cd with the driver on them it came with my computer can anyone tell me how to check to see if the modem is working it is a compaq 144 data+fax modem series 570 i don't KNOW much about COMPUTERS any help would be APPRECIATED. :-?Control Panel/Modem/ and choose diagnostics or more info. Find someone with a CD burner, then go to this site:http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/53922#new download the driver on their computer (they can remove it later) then transfer the file to a CD then u will have a driver CD for your Modem.
