Solve : CompatiabilityXP and Vista?

Answer»

I run Windows XP on my PC. I am about to buy a new laptop and wonder if I should buy Vista Office or XP Professional. I use Word and Excel a lot and want to be able to transfer and work on files from one computer to another, without problems or loss of data. Does anybody see any problems? Thanks for any help.

There's no such thing.

Vista Office or XP Professional
Do you mean the Pro version Office XP (2002)? Is that what you're using with Windows XP?

Assuming you meant Office 2007, when you said Office Vista, Office 2007's default format for Word files, Excel files, etc., is DIFFERENT from previous versions of Office. However, here's a SOLUTION: Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File FormatsQuote
Vista Office
I think he's TALKING about the Microsoft Office 2007.

There's no such thing a "Vista Office".

The LINK that sir soybean indicated is a program which you can open a .docx(latest edition of office) file to a Microsoft Office 2003 or XP Pro edition program.
