i am trying to install power dvd 5 on my pc but get as far as the directory source and the componentmovedata error no.2147024773 COMES up every time.-i have a phillips dvdrw228 drive but cannot install the software to view dvds etc-i can burn dvd but not view!! - anyone out there help -much appreciated.You cannot even start the installation?

Have you TRIED removing redundant files and cleaning the registry?

Use a tool such as Advanced System Optimizer V2, Regseeker and/or Advanced Uninstaller Pro 2004

What happens when you attempt to install other software than Power DVD?

thanks for REPLYING raptor . i have installed dvdrw on a new pc but had problems and reinstalled it i have ALSO removed all software that came bundled with it via windows xp add/remove programs but i notice power dvd will not completely remove from list -although it is not installed on pc it is still showing a trace on add/ remove programs. is this a registry problem perhaps??
-all other software loads ok!!!
