Answer» First of all, my profile is INCORRECT. I run a GATEWAY nv74 of some sort on windows 7 and i'm about pretty experienced. So here's my problem. Recently, I downloaded a file called EZVID onto my laptop. I did my research and neither norton nor virustotal detected anything weird. So i went ahead and installed it. Soon after starting, my COMPUTER crashed and now it wont boot up. I have light, fans, ect and can fully function on start up repair. However, the start up repair doesn't work and I dont know exactly what to do. I have my files backed up on a default norton backup, but im not sure if I GET the backup if I a computer wipe... in short, i dont know what my next MOVE should be. Try running your computer on safe mode and extract your important data. After that you can reboot with a fresh Disc of Windows 7.Try operating your computer on safe function and draw out your important data. After that you can restart with a clean Cd of Windows seven.
