Begin by pressing the button on the CD-ROM or other optical drive to eject the tray, PUTTING the CD in the tray (label-side up), and closing the tray.

DocI have the cd in the F:// cdrom drive.  I have gone to:  documents--my computer--F://.  When I click on the F:// drive icon, a blank screen comes up as though the cd is empty.  Thanks!Right click on it and choose properties, then right click and choose explore. It may be blank.When I click on drive F://--it says "Please INSERT a disc into drive F://" even though the cd is in there.  If I put it in E://, a blank screen comes up.  When I go to "Properties", it shows me the properties of CD Drive E://, not of my cd.  Also, there is no explore option.  Has the CD been finalised?yes.Was it burned on that machine? Can that disc be read in ANOTHER computer? How old is the drive?my friend burned it on his machine.  the drive is about 3 years old, and i can PLAY music cd's in it--i've never tried a data cd before.  i'm not sure if it can be read on another machine because this is my only computer.ok
