After computer boots I get the message "computer must be restarted for updating to continue" then the option of yes or no. No matter what I have tried this will not go away, NORMALLY this is not a problem as I just say NO and everything works as normal. However I now find that I cannot instal Page Plus X2 as it says there is an outstanding reboot. I suspect that an UPDATE has not loaded properly but I do not know how to find the culprit. You must be missing QUITE a few Windows updates....did you recently re-install ? ?

At any rate you should let all of them finish before moving on.No reinstall has been done and I don't have a disc to do it and Windows is up to date on automatic update In Control Panel/Windows Updates it will list the recent ones...there is a troubleshooter there also.There is only one long STANDING update that FAILS to load KB79906, is there a way to delete other than hiding?Uninstall it thru Add/Remove Windows components on the Start Menu...
There have been issues with it.
