Answer» I have Windows XP SP2 prof. And LATELY I have had a lot of troubles. due to a damaged IDE cable. What I have now is that my computer wont shutdown. It doesn't turn of the monitor and the screen keeps saying windows is shutting down. I've tried Ccleaner CHKDSK /X /F and SFC /scannow. I checked gpedit.msc But I didn't find anything at shutdown. BTW: How did you find it? or did you just knew it existed? I tried Googling and found nothing helpfulI suffered the same problem on TWO computers after a Windows Update about a year AGO, it TOOK a lot of Googling to find so I bookmarked it just for you.
