Answer» This my first post to this forum, so I hope it is in right place.
recently I accidently downloaded Conduit, I do not know its purpose and I am under the inpression it not a good thing to have, so I DELETED it but it has left a file that keep looking for the programe. When I boot up an error message appears. I have removed everything that mentions Conduit but I cannot remove this message. Can anybody help please with language as if you are talking to an idiot lol, thanks syndrome Download and run Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel (https://web.archive.org/web/20131114070048/http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml) and look for anything relating to Conduit on all tabs. Uncheck (or right-click and delete) any such entries and then reboot.thanks allan I have downloaded the programe and tried to find in the start menu but it cannot be found, perhaps I better wait till my other brain CELL starts working lol syndrome It's a stubborn one..
See Here...Thanks for all your help. I was reading the last message posted and it was advising me about Malwarebytes free, but I have the pro version and had USED before and had no success. So I decided to try again following the instructions that you gave me. To my suprise I found that I had over 150 items called pup.optional.and acouple of registry faults. Clearing them all I REBOOTED and whalla! no message from conduit. It seem to take an age to reboot and left a red x over my CONNECTION to the internet but I was still able to connect. Rescanning and rebooting solved that problem. Thanks again a very happy syndromeGood to hear you are fixed up...
