However mosst of the converters I found are shareware and only available for a free trial period...afterwards, you'll have to fork over some moolah.Hi, Just thought I'd tell everyone, because I found out how to do it, for free. Right click, choose "open with" Find "windows media player"(if it's not on the list, click the "browse" button, then go in to the "Window Media Player"folder, and click on "wmplayer".) If you have media player 11, right click on the top and choose, classic menu then on the top (works with all media player versions) choose FILE save as, then after the name, write .avi, or .mpg Hope this helps people. PS the file size of the movie doesn't get any smaller. This has to be the worst example of color HIGHLIGHTING i've seen to date...Agreed...Hey i know Im a bit late but i just had to chime in...
saint_hades you're not converting the file by doing what you're describing. All you've done is change the file extension. So it's a divx encoded file with a .mpeg or .whatever extension, but still a divx file none the less. So if you're now able to edit the file in Adobe Premiere you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by simply changing the extension to .avi instead re-saving it in WMP.Quote This has to be the worst example of color highlighting i've seen to date... OooHHH... I thought something was WRONG with my browser.. .
