Solve : Convert .WAV to ???? |

Answer» I recently purchased a digital voice recorder. I records in .wav format. I want to edit and clean the file up and then put them on CD to play in a regular CD player. Probably mp3.Nope - the opening poster wants to play this in a regular CD player, so MP3 won't work. The answer is simple: most CD burning software can do the conversion for you "on the fly" as you burn your compilation to disc. Just indicate that you want to create an audio CD, then drag in the WAV files you want to play. In fact, .WAV format is very similar to the data format in which audio is stored on CD, so there's not much to the conversion process. Well, *censored*. I should have left this one alone. Sorry about that, gpcii.But if the O.P. does want to edit/convert .wav to .mp3 then free Audacity linked with free LAME encoder library will do the job.Thank you everyone. Any good (& cheap) wav to text programs out there?You need a program that will burn an audio cd. Dropping wavs will normally write a data cd. No such thing as wav to text. I thought for sure that there were programs like that. Voice to text might have been a better WAY to say it?Nero is the best to use. Choose audio cd from the menu.
