Solve : Converting MP4 files to WMA??

Answer»

I have an old MP4 video file from YEARS ago that I want to play in Windows Media (or anything similar that will play, really).

I've SEEN a few conversion TOOLS ONLINE, but, everything seems "shady" to me, personally, when I Google them - being a rookie at this, I thought I'd ask the pros!

Thanks for any help! For one thing, Windows Media Player just does not play everything. In fact a lot of things do not play on the WMP. No matter how hard your try.

Have you tried other media players?

Here is just one of many free media players.

I have used this for years. Converts about anything. Quick Media Converterhttp://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html

Free, open source and completely safe. Superior to Windows Media Player and any other player out there that I've used.
Plays MP4. Windows media player can play mp4s. If you can't play it, you may just need to get the codec. Try the K-lite codec pack. http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

For converting files, try Format FACTORY. It's free. Try TotalVideoConverter. It will do the JOB easily.
