I have a corrupt floppy that has extremely important info. on it that I can't get any program i.e. filesee,BAD COPY ETC. to read it, does anyone have a suggestion on how to recover a file, I simply need to get a five digit code off it and then I can trash it.What happens, when you try read the floppy?Try it in as many different floppy drives as you have access to...I am running it on my XP Pro Desktop, I was able to recover some of the file but it is basically unreadable, depending on how I choose to try to read I get, "Disk is not formatted, you need to format before using" or General error "Unable to read" and sometimes nothing at all. I have about 10 drives(Floppy) and I have tried the majority. I have also tried reading it in CMD prompt(Dos).Check, if Recuva: http://www.recuva.com/ can find something.A data recovery service may be your LAST RESORT...Carefull the tech cops don`t get you for still using floppys.
