Solve : Could not format or delele files on my Usb stick?

Answer»

Hi ,

I have a Kingston USB stick, recently when i copied some files on it i breached up the process of copying files and it seems that "write protection" have been activated on it.

I TRIED to FORMAT it from Windows and also from DOS but it was not working the files from stick are still there, also i tried a special software for this called "JetFlash OnLineRecovery" but was UNABLE to see my usb stick...

I want to remove that "write protection" setting from my usb stick, and start use it normally like before.

Please if you have an idea about this give me a hand !

Thanks !
Which model? There is a tiny slide button on the case of the stick that turns on write protect. Thanks a lot for posting... It has 8 Giga , and its model is DataTraveler 101.

My bad. That model has some other way to protect the data. Consult the documentation that came with the drive.
Thank you very much for posting.

HP Drive Key Boot Utility
Flash Memory ToolkitHi ,

Thanks for posting.

I tried both of this products , first of them did not worked on Windows 7 , and the second one , was unable to format the stick (also windows 7 was unable to format it), i believe now that it is burned, even if when i plugged it in usb , its name occurs in my computer place and its used memory space is DISPLAYED in a red progress bar.

All the best. Does Kingston have Lifetime Warranty in your country?Nope, only for 5 years.
