Solve : Creating a PDF from an internet file. Please help! Time is of the essence.?

Answer»

Help! Going fairly crazy here with trying to upload a DOCUMENT onto Acrobat.

See, the United Nations have these internal personal history profiles (PHP) that you fill out on their site. When you apply for a position, these get sent to the appropriate body. So, someone has asked me to send them my PHP as a separate entity. I was told that I needed to act as though I wanted to print this file but then print to PDF instead. I have TRIED this dozens of times and the results still elude me. I have a new version of Adobe 9.0 I am able to upload REGULAR files from my documents, etc. but I to turn the PHP into a PDF?...it just doesn't seem to happen.

Your help will definitely be DEEPLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Acrobat can't create PDF documents - just view them. Acrobat Pro can.

But, doPDF can create PDF docs for free. Instructions are on the site.Yes, thank you so much for your reply, but that is not really the issue. I am using Adobe 9.0. That should work, no? The problem is with the United Nations' internal PHP. I know it can be uploaded to a PDF file, but I can't seem to be able to do it. Is it something I need to add to my printer's PAGE? I was told to act as though I want to print it, but then print it to PDF instead. The normal free Acrobat does not have creation abilities.

However, when you download and install doPDF (above), it will add a virtual printer to your printer list. So, yes, you are right about it printing. You just go to the page you want to save, select Print, then just select the doPDF printer from the list, give the file a name, and click save. Easy.

It doesn't matter if it's a PHP, HTML of ASP page. It can also make PDFs from Word documents.Wow. I think I love you. I was going nuts and need to do this today--spent hours late into the night trying different things. Thank you so much. That is precisely what I need. I am now downloading doPDF and will let you know what happens. Thanks again, thanks so much.No problem. There is an excellent PDF converter called "CutePDF". It is a free DL and caled be found here -->  http://www.cutepdf.com/

I have been using it for years without 1 single issue.
