Answer» I have 533 mhz computer with the creative 32x cd-rom and have the mscdex and sbide.sys files, but it will not LOAD as no device found. I know it WORKS because when inserting xp cd it starts to load. It seems to say in documentation you need the [/p: port address, irq number, secondary port number ] SWITCH. I know some of the choices but not all does anyone know an example of this address? I may also may have setup not correct yet as I have only a master drive and no slave drive I seen somewhere that a cd-rom will connect as a hard drive would. Thanks for any help.One HDD = SET as master on IDE1 One CD Drive = Set as master on IDE2 Obviously if more drives are involved this will need adjusting. The above should work. If not More Info.Well I got it to work the universal DRIVER from Oak teck was what made it work it automaticly installs cd-rom.
