Solve : Curiosity Killed the Cat?

Answer»

I searched online on how to hide the TASKBAR clock, using registry key and unfortunately it WORKED, the problem is now is that I can no longer view my clock no matter what I do

My steps were:

run regedit
Go to HKEY CURRENT USER\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Go to HKEY LOCAL\MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Make a new DWORD Value CALLED "HideClock"
and change it to "1" to hide the clock and "0" to show it

Unfortunately nothing I do is working so

Help?Did you re-boot after the registry changes ? ?

Why do you not want something...and then want it back ? ?personally  I've always just used the "show clock" checkbox in taskbar properties...

but some people like to over complicate  things, I suppose.  Quote from: BC_Programmer on August 01, 2009, 09:25:39 PM

Oh, that helped, I was DEFINITELY overthinking this problem, thank you!your welcome ; it's really only the really esoteric stuff you'll find hidden in the registry, most everything else has an option hidden in a dialog.
