Solve : Cursor behaving differently in word document?

Answer»

I'm using my daughter's laptop with a Windows 7 Home Premium OS.  I started a Word document (Word 2000) and am using bullet points with numbers for each new bullet.  If I use the arrow key and click on the downward arrow to go to the next line, the cursor goes exactly one line down DIRECTLY below where it was. It does not go one one line down to the space after the last character on the lower line.  So essentially the cursor just hangs in the middle of the line and then I have to backspace to get the cursor to the proper position to continue the sentence instead of it going there automatically.

I opened a new document and the cursor behaves correctly.  Is there a way to reset the cursor's behavior on the current document?just use the {home} or {END} key to NAVIGATE to beginning or end of lineSounds like the line-height was misconfigured somehow. I don't use Microsoft Office so I wouldn't know where to change that but it's probably in the FONT options somewhere.
