Solve : D Drive will not recognize any disk in it? |
|
Answer» OK so about a month ago I deleted a lot of files that I thought would be no NEED to me. In the process I think I deleted my cd-rom DRIVER (I know I had deleted my sound driver and had to reinstall that via DELL site). So now everytime I insert a cd, go to my computer, and click on cd drive (d:) it says please insert a disk into drive d:. It does this for any cd so I know it must be a problem with my cp. My cd-rom drive is a dell HL-DT-ST CD-ROM GCR 8483B model. My disk drive (I don't know if this is relavant) is a Maxtor 6Y080L0. My SYSTEM service tag is 2229D61. It is a Dell Dimension 3000 running on windows XP. Thanks please reply soon I really appreciate it.Have you tried the driver reset tool?--->Here |
