Went to look at my calendar  right click the time click on adjust time and date... nothing...

Went to control panel attempted to open it there.... and  it will not open there...

I have run  Malwarebytes and superantispyware and both scan clean... any suggestions Maybe it is broke.

Ya think?
I am thinking if he would install another, then un installs it will revert to normal. XP is like that.Yes It broke haha... I prefer to repair/ fix the existing.....
It sounds to me like you were hit by spyware or something similar and had certain privileges removed. Can you still right click on the desktop?

You might want to HEAD on over to the anti-spyware section. As mention  before.... scanned to be cleaned...Are you logged on as Administrator, Power User or some lowly RATED user?Administartor

Also will be running a SFC/scannowDidn't mention if you could right click on the desktop.Everything else "seemed" to be working find.

What i did notice... in control panel, was duplicated Icons there... which prompted me to look at my desktop again closely and notice some missing icons there.... "MALWARE/SPYWARE is what i thinking or a virus...

So i again updated malwarebytes... full sytem scan  come out clean
Use Superantivirus.... it also comeup clean...

did the sfc /scannow... didnt help
did a chkdsk /f didnt help

attempted a  "repair install" which only resulted in the computer getting stuck in a never ending boot loop... splash screen,  the to the windows boot choice window... last known.. start normal safe boot... didnt matter what was choosen... it returned...

So i booted from the CD again and use the recovery console window toattempt the sfc command.. and the chkdsk along  no   GOOD news... considering the aggravation .... I just did a clean install of windows

Mark this one as solved......

OK. Marked as solved.
FYI: Regular backups might have made things easier to isolate.
Hm, sounds like the explorer shell was damaged somehow.
