Answer» What is the difference between deleting cookies and DISABLING cookies? As I understood it, if you delete cookies, they are automatically restored when you start up your computer again. sisdroid ... Lets start with what a cookie is.........
A SMALL text file of INFORMATION that certain Web sites attach to a user's hard drive while the user is browsing the Web site. A Cookie can contain information such as user ID, user preferences, archive shopping cart information.
If you disable cookies ........ you are telling your browser not to accept cookies from any site. ( this is not a good idea as some sites won't be available to you if you have cookies DISABLED.)
If you delete cookies .......... any cookies which have been placed on your machine will be deleted until you visit the site again. Simply restarting your machine will not replace cookies which have been deleted.
Hope this HELPS you.
