Hello All

Does any have any idea why my system deletes word docs after a few days? Everytime I create a word doc my computer deletes the doc after a couple of days. I don't know if there is some type of setting that will stop this from happening as I have LOST many docs. I have word 2002. THANKS for any help.
Larry Have you done a search of your hard drive for all .doc files, to verify that files are truly disappearing? Do you know how to do such a search?

Do you normally save files to the folder set as the default file location in Word?

What protections are you USING against viruses and SPYWARE? Firewall?Thanks for the reply. I searched the hard drive for documents that I created and saved on the C drive. The docs were in the C drive for a few days then gone. I did a search using the XP search tool. I save most of my files in a folder in My documents, never had a problem in the past. I am using Symantec and Webroot for protection. You mentioned the .doc file search, I am not sure on how this works. Thanks for any help.
