Answer» I have a Kodak Dx3900 digital camera and I have been uploading my photos to quickpix. I don't know how but something changed and now I can't upload my photos.
I have gone into quickpix
Disk/directory/card to Card setup to Path to photos - Browse
When I browse my computer I can't find my camera or files.
My digital cameras says that the directory is
Directory:\DCIM\101k3900
I can't find any DCIM files on my computer.
I downloaded the original Kodak software in case I had deleted a file but that didn't do anything. I even downloaded a new Kodak drive (not SURE why) but that won't open and says it can't find the camera and to check if the camera is plugged in and on. It is. I never changed anything with regards to my camera.
How can I get my photos out of my camera and into quickpix? Help, and thanks. Are you using Windows XP?
If you're not seeing your camera in My Computer when it's connected to your computer and turned on, you need to resolve that problem first. Indeed, that may be the sole problem here; once you get that resolved, you can probably upload photos again.
You connect your camera to a USB port, right? Have you tried different ports? Do you have other USB devices? Can you use other USB devices on your computer, and on the port you normally use for your camera? Can you connect your camera to another computer to see whether it's RECOGNIZED by that computer? You don't need to install the software for this; just connect it and see whether the computer recognizes a device connected to the USB port.
Thanks for the reply. I was ABLE to get my photos into my computer using the Kodak software. I must just have the incorrect path set for quickpix.
Thanks again.
