Answer» I recently got the game Star Wars empire at war, but i am having Direct3D problems as follows: I have downloaded new video drivers and i have a new problem. When I go to test my direct3D by testing it on dxdiag it test as follows: Test 1: Test will use hardware-accelerated Direct 3D 7 interfaces: Result:Test failed at step 8(creating 3D Device):HResult=Ox887602 >(error code) Test 2: Test will use hardware-accelerated Direct3D interfaces. Result: Test failed at step 8(Creating 3D Device): HRESULT= 0x8876086a (3D not available) Test 3: Test will use hardware-accelerated Direct3D 9 interfaces. Result: Same as test 2 Thats what happens and this i think is causing my problem. Let me Explain what happens when i start the game now: error screen appears: D3D9 Application Generic application error. ENABLE debug output for detailed information. Switching to the reference rasterizer, a software device that implements the entire Direct3D feature set, but runs very slowly. Next error page same title: > Warning: nothing will be rendered. The reference rendering device was selected, but your computer only has a reduced functionality reference device installed. INSTAL the DirectX SDK to get the full reference Device It won't let me download SDK february 2006. The setup GOES 4 bars and starts over again. It SAYS i have D3DX 7.dll, D3DX 8.dll, and D3DX 9.dll in my info, but they won't work! SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASEWhat video card do you have? Is it a 3D card? Does it meet the game requirements (on the box)? |
