i have reasontly borrowed the game quake 2 from a friend and it has done somthing to directX, i have since learnt that quake was notoriously bad for these sorts of things and computers in general. now some other programs wont REGISTER i have the correct directX.
Computer Specs:
Hyundai digital,
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
2.23GHz, 480Mb of RAM
thats about all i can tell you as i have no IDEA about computers! :-?
can i do anything or should i just format my computer? your help WOULD be greatly appreciated!

What dxdiag is shown?It tells me i have:
directx 9.0c
i noticed that this was search my computer, i just tryed the programs which were causing the problem and they worked, i hope it wasn't a one off that they did,
