Answer» How do I REMOVE the two intersecting lines in all four corners of the PAGE? I have no idea how this setting was enabled. I've CHECKED the MICROSOFT support page (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371) for this topic, and it doesn't help, because I don't actually have 'Language Settings' in the Microsoft Office Tools tab of the Program Menu.
Thanks in advance,
S&CHave you ever installed an Asian language on your computer? As the reference at your posted link SAYS:
CAUSE This problem occurs only if you have one of the following Asian languages turned on in Microsoft Office Language Settings: •Chinese (Traditional) •Chinese (Simplified) •Japanese •Korean
I have had an Asian language installed, and I had those crop marks in my Word 2003 Print Layout View. The procedure in the link you posted worked for me. Here's my menu:
I don't know why you don't see Microsoft Office XP Language Settings on your Programs menu. Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling Office would be a solution; I'm assuming either Word would simply not show the crop marks after being reinstalled, or you'll have the Microsoft Office XP Language Settings on the menu and be able to use the procedure for removing the marks.
