Hello , I have a pavilion dm4 1101tx laptop .

I am facing problem with the graphics of my laptop .

My laptop has switchable graphics (intel HD + ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470) . It is a customized PC .

The problem is when I download and INSTALL this DRIVER from HP website , I get a black screen or BACKLIGHT off screen after welcome screen .

I am running windows 7 . PLZ help .Hi Tanjib,
Maybe you can change the driver settings at the Device Manager ---> Display Adapters (click it) ---> right click on your adapter and update it?

LukaWhich driver ? ?...and did you reboot after installing it ?
I believe on that Model graphics are switched in the BIOS...Read your Manual...Thanks for the reply .

Updating doesn't help Luka .

No other driver WORKS for my pc except the drivers from HP .

But after istalling I have to disable the AMD driver from safe mode else I get blank screen after reboot .

It is a customized driver from HP which includes both the intel and the amd driver .

There is no option in the bios for switchable graphics .

I installed the appropriate driver . It worked before . But recently I reinstalled windows and now it is not working .
Don't know what to tell you other than if it's a newer ver. of WIN you will need the appropiate drivers...
