Answer» Ok, so it started yesterday when I installed TELUS Security Service. It seemed to install fine, but when I logged back in after restarting my computer, it said "Telus security service is initializing..." and stayed like that for hours; it didn't do anything. Also, my taskbar is frozen, it just shows an hour galss when I move the cursor over it. In control panel, I cannot open "system" or "taskbar and start menu" I went to "add/remove programs" and tried to remove it, but it didn't do anything when I clicked "change/remove" If I try to restart my computer, when it gets to the screen that says "saving your preferences" (or something like that) it freezes. So the only WAY to restart my computer is to push the power button. Not all the time, but most times I turn my computer back on it gets to the log-in page , quickly flashes a blue screen that says something about a problem being detected and to make sure new soft/hardware is installed correctly.
Then I thought, ok I will just start it in safe mode. So as the computer was starting up, I PUSHED F8. It took me to the screen where you can select safe mode, but it was FROZEN!
Next I thought I WOULD try a system restore, but when I clicked on it, nothing happened!
Now I am completely stuck, and don't know what to do next. I would REALLY appreciate it if ANYONE could help me!I would retry safe mode and try and remove that security software. But be patient with safemode...sometimes if it hasn't been used in awhile it can take awhile to load completely...
We have a full listing of security programs that are not only some of the best but also free.
It doesn't sound like their security solution is niether.I've got it working again; thanks for your help!
