Solve : Don't know where to look...? |
Answer» A picture is worth 1,000 words I guess. It just so happens that my Audio and Video decided not to work after finally getting Windows 2000 PRO up and running. I'm running a Dell Optiplex 1ghz 256mb ram, 20 gigHD. I don't know what the video/audio card brands are (or if they're a combined card). I'd LIKE to know a quick fix or how to find out what BRAND my card is and where to get the drivers. Thanks guys Edit: Here's an error that CAME up when I tried to play something in WinAmp earlier. http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/1653/cluebn6.pngDownload and run Everest. It will let you know what your hardware is. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.htmlThanks a lot, I got it! However I didn't find one for this: Intel 82801BA ICH2X - AC'97 Audio Controller [B-0] PCI The one I got I installed and REBOOTED then it brought up the blue screen of death and I had to remove it. If someone could give me a good site for drivers or be a totally awesome dude and actually find the driver for me that'd be awesome!!!You need to register for free membership at this site.We all use it. I believe the below link is your driver. http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=21043 You can go to Intel's site, look up your motherboard & download the drivers for your audio. Alan <>< All of the drivers you need for a Dell are available on the Dell site. There is no need to look further. You do need to input the model number and the operating systgem. There are several Optiplexes to choose from, but you probably have a GX150. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen |
