Solve : Downgrading SP3 to SP2 .?

Answer»

Umm , I read that I just gotta uninstall this bullcrap from Add or Remove Programs . After I run the uninstaller for SP3 , it gives me an error that it cannot find a SPECIFIC file to uninstall .

Is there any other way to downgrade ? SP3 is a loads of crap imo .http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950249You should always have the most current service pack installed. The fact that you are experiencing some issues does not mean the update is problematic. Clearly it is not. It's just that after installing SP3 my PC slowed down , internet browsers lost sound , 50% of my programs installed are working with errors , my favorite mmorpg ain't working , MSN crashes like million times a day . [attachment deleted by admin]Have you run any spyware scans?....use malwarebytes and superantispyware......at least see if that's what's causing your slowdowns....Don't post any logs here...but if you do find problems post the logs in a new thread in the spyware forum.Okay, but just upgrading to SP3 wouldn't cause that or you'd see everyone complaining. Something else is at work. Have you done full system scans with your AV and a good malware utility (such as MalwareBytes)? Hey look - it's your system - if you want to uninstall to SP2 that's your choice, but if it were me I wouldn't. Also, for future reference, before making any such major system change you should create an IMAGE of your system drive with a THIRD party utility. My money is on you being infected prior to the install of SP3....

yes. that's part of what "reformat/reinstall" happens to do.

Getting rid of Vista and installing ANY SP of XP will entail a clean install. Quote from: varbagavitt on August 24, 2009, 06:35:32 AM
