Solve : Driver error??

Hello I have a radeon9800 PRO. I went to install the newest driver updates for it and I GOT an error. The error was

"Setup was unable to complete the installation. TRY to setup your display adapter with the standard VGA driver before running setup."

Does anyone know how to fix my problem?

ThanksHow did you try to install it? Did you uninstall any older drivers first?I went to the ATI website and downloaded the driver installer. From there I went to install and before it could complete I got that error. Now I have tried several different things including deleting the old driver and I cannot delete that one, overwrite it from the orig driver CD etc. Nothing seems to be working. Quote

Probably this is typical Radeon installation problem , as I encountered everywhere,  associated this error with Radeon while searching through google.

Google yourself . There are many others.Just flashing idea.

Go to  Device Manager and  examine Display Adapter from there. Also check your screen resolution. Change it , then try again.
