Answer» For about 8 months now, I havent been able to use any CD's. My drive will READ them (I own a Gateway Intel Pentium 4 Proccesor) and the LITTLE light next to the drive will blink. But it never stops blinking. I let it try reading the DISK for about 2 and half hours and it did stop blinking. But the computer said that the CD wasnt there. Help please....Your drive is defective. REPLACE it.Agreed. New drive time. They just don't build 'em like they used to! I have multiple old DELLS and IBM's, 5-8 years old and never had a problem with any of them.
