Answer» hello this is my first post. i recently purchased a used lexmark printer, and it has no drivers. i downloaded the 'driver detective software' but i have not used it yet. i work off of a laptop with wireless internet, but i have to be somehwere with wifi or clopse to another cmputer with internet in order for me to conect to a network. my questionis will i be ablke to connect my pribnter and install the drivers through the driver detective without being connected to the internet or will i have to try to haul my printer to the locak starbucks? and if there is a beter way to find drivers that by USEING this software please let me know. What is the model number of the printer? And what version of Windows are you running?
Spoiler Resin is running windows vista
Resin Get the Leximark drivers here. You just need to download the drivers when you are on the internet, you don't need to have your printer with you when you do it. But you can just install it when you go home when the software may actually now ask you for the printer plugged in. Don't RELY on that driver detective stuff, it RARELY ever works the way it's supposed to.
They usually just try and load on stuff that you don't need.but however, seeing that the link I posted is the official leximark site, you'll get the drivers you need there. If you can manually find the drivers, then do it instead of having them autoscan for you

Sorry 2x3i5x, I wasn't referring to the link that you provided the OP with.

it is ok, I would go to the official websites to get the drivers anyway. They're most up to date anyhow. I wouldn't rely on a third party software to get the drivers
