Solve : dvd not burning?

when i try and burn dvds it copys onto the computer but after i put the blank DISC in it comes up with error msg 1004 and says its an illegel opperration but it used to work and ive even tried copying dvds that have worked for me in the past can ANY1 helpSome DVD's have copy write protection ? Please give US more details on your issue.

What version of windows you're using?
What program is giving you the error and what is precise error message you're getting.
