Solve : DVD player (Power DVD/Cyberlink) won't play DVD?

After playing an audio CD, I put in a DVD and tried to play it. I get "a disc with an unsupported FORMAT in drive /:) What do I need to do to get it to play normally? THANKS!
Is it the standard DVD disc, movie format and player you USE or the blu-ray disc?

Hello! I put it in the correct drive. I uninstalled a program I had installed earlier in the DAY and it seems to have solved my problem. Thanks for the help!
