Solve : DVD Problem - Just intalled Vista.. NOW FIXED?

Answer»

I have performed a clean install of Windows Vista Ultimate (OEM) on my Toshiba Equium laptop, getting rid of the XP Home edition.

I have a problem PLAYING DVD's in Windows Media Player and Media Center, i'm encountering the following message:

'Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card .' 'Try installing an updated DRIVER for your video card.'

How do I proceed from here? Device manager SAYS that the drivers for IDE/ATA Adapi controllers are okay - i'm not sure if they are.. Please help!Get VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/Thanks for the reply, great DVD player - I have installed it and works a treat, it still hasn't fixed my problem though - i'm still getting the above error on Media Center and WMP.. any IDEAS??Installed tiny free program called DVD43 - awesome, problem fixed. In addition allows me to play multi region DVD's, copies, etcQuote

I don't even want to go there. WMP is a crappy tool, and I don't use it.
I'm glad, you fixed things up.
