I invested recently in NTI Media maker 8 - which tho not free does do about everything you might want with burning any disk media.Let's clarify a LITTLE...

1. accommodate 6+ movies (700MB) STORED as data.
2. If you want to play a DVD in standalone DVD player, the movie file has to be burned. Burning process expands file size. 4.7GB DVD accommodates about 120 min movie. 700MB movie is about 90 mins long, so burned DVD will hold 1 1/2 of AVERAGE length movie. Since you don't want to watch half of a movie, DVD is practically good for burning ONE movie.
