BUT IT DON'T PLAY DVD OR BURN CR !
WHAT IS THE BEST FREE SOFTWARE TO DO THAT . One CD ROM drive, and one DVD RW drive, correct?

When i try to play DVD it says " cannot play DVD cus compatible DVD decoder is not installed"What Windows version would be another unanswered question...
What player do you use? Windows Media Player?
Did you try VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
You may have some codecs missing.Winxp, Yes I'm using MMP10.

Don't want to install another player , I NEED SOMETHING compatible with MP.

Playing a DVDWinXP will not burn DVD's...
If you are unwilling to install something that will work then you are on your own.
Playing some DVD's will also take some effort in installing the PROPER tools as well.....Must be some day TODAY....Installed vlc , did't work with DVD.
