Answer» Hey everyone. I'm new to the board, and I have this annoying problem with my DVD-R. I had the same problem with my old CD-R's and I never knew what caused it.
Here's the thing, the writer works just fine until all of a sudden it starts working slower, the data rate while reading drops drastically, the buffer while WRITING keeps going up and down throughout the burning process...which TAKES an INSANELY long AMOUNT of time btw, and it keeps doing that until I format Windows.
Now I know this isn't a hardware problem because when I format and reinstall Windows, everything's fine and dandy, that means it has to be something on my PC. Some new virus maybe that my AV couldn't detect? But then what explains the fact that this used to happen to me all the time before?
Anybody got a SOLUTION for this? DOUBLE POST
