Answer» Is there any CONVENIENT way to zip a FILE to decrease the size at least about 0.12 MB ? I want to put a file in a floppy (1.44 MB) . The size of the file is 1.55 MB. I used both zip and rar UTILITY , but the file size is reduced to 1.53 MB after zipping (or RARing) Shouvik, What type of file(s) are you trying to compress (.jpg, .txt, .mp3, etc.)? Some file TYPES can be modified/compressed without much change, some can't. DellHi This is a [size=18].EXE[/size] file.Nope. Use a file splitter utility and put it on 2 floppies... patio. .exe files do not compress much, if at all. Text and graphic files do much better. |
