Solve : Email Attachments producing error messages.?

Answer»

Howdy Folks,

I've created an album cover in PHOTOSHOP CS, and I've attempted to email it as an attachment, but the receiver said that the album cover did not show up!!! They're seeing RED X's instead.

I've been saving it as a TIFF FILE, because I undersatnd that it'll need to be in taht format for printing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Could someone help me?

Lena Mae ..... Odd ...... I use photoshop to make covers all the time and I SAVE them for printing as jpg...... never have any issues in emailing them as jpgs either .
What Email application are you USING ?

dl65 How do you print your covers? I was thinking that I should save mine as TIFF because they will be printed through offset printing.

I'm using YAHOO.

Tell me - Do you flatten your images or anything? Maybe I'm missing a step on that end.Yeah and if you are using work mail (how sure are you that its not the fire wall).
jpg i should work or gif.

Its so funny you post a thread and then you run away.Lena Mae take dl65's ADVICE it should work.Yes, I'm running back and forth trying to get this email out. I'm not at work, but I never thought that it could be my firewall..

I'm going to try to email it as a jpeg. dl65, whenever I save the file as a jpeg and the message "this has to be saved as a copy" would that have any effect on my problem?Lena Mae ...... So you are making 4.76" x 4.76" covers for a cd case.....
How large is your image ?
It's possible that it is too large and yahoo mail is filtering out the image.

Agreed. As a tiff file that thing is probably huge...why not upload it to imageshack instead ? ?
