Answer» I use AOL Mail email service.
Last THURSDAY I received several AUTOMATED message acknowledgements for email that that I had not sent, and also some undelivered mail reports from, I presume, the AOL mail server.
Apparently the alleged messages were "no subject" and I think addressed to around 25 email addresses, all of which were in my Contacts list - the message itself consisted only of a list of these addresses - nothing more. No comeback in the couple of days since then.
I am wondering how such a thing could happen - some kind of HACKING into my emails? It seems rather pointless.
I ran scans - Avira AV, SUPERANTISPYWARE, Malwarebyte, Secunia etc - all clear.
Comments and suggestions appreciated.you may FIND it was a spammer who sent the emails, DO NOT REPLY TO THEM, Make sure you have enabled your junk file settings for you email program. I am not with AOL so can't help you there.
