Answer» When I run defrag and it completes I notice there are still white bands mixed in with the blue. This PC , HP Pavilion DV2000 Laptop, has always been like that just figured I'd ASK now.
Thanks in advance. MP.I get the same result on my desktop, using the standard Windows Disk Defragmenter. I believe it's NORMAL. In fact, I think it MAY actually be a good thing; those empty spaces may, indeed, slow down the fragmentation that occurs between runs of defragmenter. Thanks much. Just use to the days when all colors grouped together. Some FILES are in use and it is not possible to move everything to the middle of the platters with a tool like Windows defragmenter.
