Solve : external disk driver missing?

My  external disk, MAXTOR Diamond 10, model 6L200P0, 200 GB PATA 133 HDD, can not be reached any more.
Until shortly was operating normaly. When tested with CAPTAIN Nemo I GET the message "NTFILE.CREATE
invalid MFT RECORD NO d: (WININIT :782) 004cbb8C 
how can I overcome this nightmara??? What was on this HDD ? ?
How is it being reported in Disk Management ? ?
Right clik My Computer and select Manage....then Disk Management.
Find the drive...right clik it and select Properties.

on the disk are backup, old pictures (family), administration and Minutes of Meeting of appartment owners as Technical ManagerOK.

That explains it...

With a "Get Data Back"software files and images can befound and copied to an other harddisk.
Still I WANT to use the disk, formattad if necesaryTo use the disk after RETRIEVING your data in Disk Management use it to remove and re-create the partition and then format it...
This will re-create the MFT.
