The external hard drive I have been using is no longer recognizeable or accessible. it used to be listed on My Computer as "my K Book" but now just is listed as Local disk (K:)
Previously I had been trying to run DVD Shrink using files from K (external drive) to burn to DISC but it kept coming up with i/o error.
Now I can't even access my K book at all and if I try, it too comes up with K: is not accessible, i/o device error. Was it UNPLUGGED without using "safely remove hardware" ? ?
Right click My Computer and select MANAGE then Disk Management...
Right click the K drive and select Properties...
Report back with your findings.

If it says RAW your DATA is gone.Thanks for your help. After sending message via personal reply i found the reply listed right here. If I can barely operate the fourm the computer information might be beyond me. ha ha.
