Answer» Hello everybody!
My problem: I receive every day about 300 mails, everyone has an attachment (a EXCEL '.xls' file ). These mails are stored in a specified folder. As "e-mail PROGRAM" I use Lotus Notes. I would like to separate the attachments from the mails and store the Excel files in another directory automatically. This means that I don't want to open every single mail and extract the attachment because it will take too long! I thought that maybe it was possible to accomplish this action with a batch file when I open the "e-mail program" or I boot my COMPUTER. I've found that the "e-mail program" Eudora ALLOW you doing this operation. The problem here is that this program doesn't distinguish between the attachments and put also unwanted attached file in the directory.
In order to maintain Lotus Notes as "e-mail program" I've found that AAP (Advanced Attachment Processor) and DetachIt are both useful, but they aren't freeware. I was wondering if it isn't possible to emulate the way these programs act. looking FORWARD to your answers. have a nice day gb
