I recently discovered that my father purchased a new anti-virus software for me. He purchased EZ Antivirus from eTrust. I've personally never heard or used it before so I have no idea if it's good at all. Couple of questions:
1) Is there really a significant difference between free anti-viruses and the ones you buy?
2) Would AVG, Ewido, or Kerio interfere with the new software?
3) Has anyone used it or heard about it? If so, is it good?

The AVG site has a compatibility list (I think)
Ewido is more for trojans but the whole virus, trojan, worm terminology gets very grey.
Give the eTrust software a run & see if you like it & FEEL confident.
Google eicar to give it a test.I think e trust is offered free by road runner high speed as one of their extras.All ani spyware packet are design by coder. As far as you wana know weather is it good or not it depends on the program it self and all that depends on the knowlege of coding team and their research. Really you wana goes for the POPULAR ones but ther are DISAVANTAGE because of the bigger the COMPANY is the more people want crack it down.
So what i mean by big company is there must employ talented coder & Deisgner. And have a well organise coding and designing team.

Best anti virus is go to be McaFee anti virus ( i know this take the pi** ) but there are the one who were making virus and bugs and sell them every where
