Answer» Hello all, Just having a general cleanup and noticed that in my startup files, there is one listed (ticked) for mbamgui. I have the free version of mbam which l start up manually, so should this ACTUALLY be in the startup files, and if so, what's being STARTED up? Thank youIt is the resident scanner for MBAM....it can be on or off and the app will run fine.Sort of lost me on that one Patio. Is this added on the free version? All l KNOW is that if l get rid of it from the startup files, it reappears on a restart, and it can't be "got rid" of, keeps reappearing. It's not that critical to me, but l thought it could be one LESS task that may quicken the startup. Does that make sense? RegardsYes. Sorry if i lost you ...it's there in both versions. If you would like it disabled on start DLoad and install StartupCPL from Mike Lin. This adds a Startup icon to your Control Panel where you can control all startup functions.
Highly recommended. Many thanks Patio, a star as usual. Yep, that answers my question in that it appears on both the free and paid versions so l'll just ignore it. Will however check out StartupCPL out of interest. Thank you for the prompt replies. Kind Regards
