Answer» Hi... I have one problem.. I use INTERNET Explorer 6 but i used Firefox 1.4 and i dont now because after the 1.5 update CAME out firefox stopped working.. what i mean is.. Im connect trhough a wireless network to my neighbor.. and after 1.5 update installed it SELF on my machine.. when i open forefox it says Server Cannot be found.... that means that page cannot be displayed.. I tried other sites and it doesnt work.. it doesnt even want to connect.. When i open Internet Explorer it works.. I can surf the web.. and no problems but firefox something is wrong.. I already contacted the makers of firefox they said that this is the first problem they heard off.. that means they dont even know what to do.. and i tried reinstalling forefox 1.4 but still update 1.5 is on my machine.. and it updates it to 1.5 and i dont want that.. is there any way that i can go back like Update Rollback.. something like that.. Please help.. Tools-->Options-->General-->Connection settings. What do you see there?It says: A Direct Connection to the Internet, I tried Detect Automatic Settings.. it still dont work.And how do you connect to the internet?why dont you try to fully uninstall your FF? delete all folder, even in the registry then try to dl'd FF again using your IE6 reinstall it tell us what happen thenHi.. infoseeker.. I already tried that... i deleted from the registery and the whole folder.. I reinstalled it and it says UPDATE installing 1.5 please wait.. right after the installation it says that.. i dont know what is going on.... i think better try OPERA http://www.opera.com/ http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/opera/win/854/en/ow32enen854.exe they have same tab function and so far i understand OPERA is more secure than FFI tried Opera.. but i like firefox better. so anyways.. i fixed it be reinstalling my windows system all over..A good format and reinstall will solve most Windows problems, for a while anyway. |
