i have searched sony's site, and it does have firmware, yet not for my model oddly enough.
i have tried all kinds of media, both expensive and cheap. same error.
i wasn't able to find any firmware on videohelp. could you give me an exact link?I would contact SONY long before I would even CONSIDER downloading some supposed firmware update which may harm the drive from another source.
